Interwoven within my glass practice are elements of contemporary crochet design and botanical landscaping.
I am attracted to the fluid and translucent nature of glass and the endless possibilities for expression it holds.
Inspiration was gained from the geography of our landscape, this is clearly emphasised through rhythmic curvaceous forms in blown glass components, while colour is inevitably influenced through the tangible purity of our native flora and fauna. The combination of these influences enabled me to express ideas of generating a reconstructed ecosystem in glass.
I strive to engage the viewer with my creative vision of the environment.
