Creating my jewellery is a personal process that I find deeply satisfying. I use traditional fabrication and enamelling techniques that are immersive, intense and time consuming. I think it is this hands-on process that allows me to weave together the threads of my life experience and to express my understanding of the world through my work. I strive to create highly functional, wearable, hand fabricated pieces that reflect my commitment to quality workmanship and good design.
Originally from New Zealand, I studied science at University and worked as a teacher in International Schools in Asia and the UK. While living in London I did the Gem-A gemmology diploma and followed with a year studying Jewellery Making at London Metropolitan Uni. Upon relocating to Melbourne, I completed an Advanced Diploma of Gold and Silversmithing at NMIT and am now living in Canberra and undertaking a Masters in Visual Art (Gold and Silver) at ANU.
