Annabel Menzies-Joyce has been exhibiting for over 15 years, initially as a painter, but more recently expanding her work to include cast glass. The landscape is her particular focus, especially the relationship of form, light and colour. Annabel was brought up in an isolated part of Banks Peninsula. Her passion for remote landscapes with their changing light, massive form and depth of colour has led her to explore the Marlborough Sounds, Fiordland, and more recently South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula. Through her work she tries to express the essence and mood of these places.
