Debbie Adamson

Debbie Adamson grew up in rural Central Otago. She studied for four years at the Otago Polytechnic in Dunedin, gaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2010, and began exhibiting in group shows directly thereafter. Between 2012 and 2014, Adamson undertook an informal apprenticeship with Master Goldsmith Kobi Bosshard and this resulted in a longstanding working relationship. Around a similar time, Debbie also participated in the inaugural ‘Handshake’, a jewellery mentoring project where she was paired with the Swedish artist Hanna Hedman.

For the past 15 years Adamson has exhibited widely, both in solo and group shows, and gained representation in well known galleries throughout New Zealand and Australia. Currently, Adamson lives and works in Central Otago,  New Zealand.
