DM819B: Sun catcher ring

A concave disc of sterling silver and 22ct gold is set atop the sterling silver band, reaching upwards towards the sun. The band and the cup are both textured with David McLeod's text-ure pattern, in which he creates a pattern on the surface of the metal by passing it through a rolling mill against a sheet of metal stamped repeatedly with font stamps, creating texture from the text.
