IKF118: Folded vase - lavender

Using a technique called "internal folding", Isaac Katzoff creates ridges on the inside of the glass form when it is still just a hot bubble of glass. This gives it a structure and defines the shapes created when the piece is blown out to the final form. This delicately shaded lavender vase is a beautiful example of the technique with it's contrasting outward curved and inward tapered shapes.
